Costs & Support

At Timburi Cocha, the cost of your stay will depend on many factors: the length of your stay, the type of activity you wish to carry out, and your requirements, as well as that of your research.

We pay a daily fee to the local community, so this will be included in the cost of your stay. This is higher for international visitors than for Ecuadorians. When you carry out work in Payamino, you may require a guide. We hire guides from the community who we know and trust, but the fees below will not necessarily cover the cost of guides, so please do get in touch to discuss the type of work you wish to do so that we can advise you accordingly.

In order to reach the station, you will have to make your own way to Loreto or Coca. From there, a representative from the station will happily meet you and accompany you on public transport to San José de Payamino. If you wish to take a taxi to Payamino, we will still meet you in Coca or Loreto, but you will have to cover the cost.

Please note that the prices below are basic rates. Prices can vary greatly depending on the requirements of the researcher or the project. Please get in touch for a specific quote.
